Winnipeg Ice Castles

You’ve got to take an evening to explore the Ice Castles at The Forks in Winnipeg. The ice castle is built using dripping water to create icicles. The icicles are broken off and moved into strategic places to build the structure and are covered with more dripping water. Gradually more and more icicles are added, the castle takes shape and it becomes a magical place for the whole family to enjoy. Continue reading

Road Trip

Highways, roads, and trails criss-cross the Pembina Valley. I’ve got a thing for roads and the journeys they take us on. They are one of my favourite photographic subjects. I grew up with a father who was a teacher and who had summers off. We went on many road trips across western Canada. I still love a good road trip. Continue reading
